The sisters' unique harmony colors the entire piece.
A prequel to the Roche sisters' quiet folk music, Maggie and Terry crafted an innocent masterpiece with the help of Paul Simon.
This is a fresh record by sisters Maggie and Terry, who would later become The Roche. Maggie's deep bass and layered harmonies are layered over the steady groove of the Muscle Shoals rhythm section. The opening track, "Underneath the Moon," blends introspective lyrics with a limpid folk sound, creating a dry lyricism. The album also includes a track with Paul Simon's involvement in production and guitar, and its rich sound has been re-evaluated upon reissue.
