The Clash, the greatest punk band of all time, released this greatest hits album in 2013, featuring a selection of songs based on Joe Strummer's handwritten set list.
The album contains 32 tracks in total, including 24 original tracks based on the setlist from the Brixton Fairdeal concert, plus 8 of their signature songs.
Joe Strummer sadly passed away in 2002, but Mick Jones (guitar, vocals), Paul Simonon (bass), and Topper Headon (drums) look back on him and jointly explain, "Each show was different. Joe spent a lot of time planning the set list, considering the dynamics of the songs, the emotional impact, and which key songs to include. This recording is based on the set list Joe came up with for the Brixton Fairdeal show on July 10, 1982, as part of The Casbah Club UK tour."
