This album records the transitional period when the band was evolving from folk to rock.
This album from the early days of Alfie features the fresh chorus work of the three members. Based on a simple acoustic arrangement, it also hints at the path that would lead to the large-scale rock sound that would come later. As the title suggests, this work exudes a natural emotion reminiscent of the passage of time and the ebb and flow of the tides.
