Lettuce is a super band in the jazz-funk scene, formed around Soulive guitarist Eric Krasnow (now departed) and gathering such virtuoso figures as Adam Deitch (drums) and Sam Kinninger (ass). From their popular second album, Rage!, they have released 7-inch covers of Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up" and Charles Wright & Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band's "Express Yourself." Both covers are faithful reproductions of the originals with respect, but the band's ample talent has made them even more powerful and groovy. A super funky double-sider that is sure to shake the floor!
