The Foo Fighters' awakening roars beyond the pain
This is a masterpiece album that marks their full-fledged start as a band.
Distinguishing itself from Dave Grohl's previous album under the name "Foo Fighters," this album marks his first album recorded with a full band, featuring Pat Smear (guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), and William Goldsmith (drums). Produced by Gil Norton, it perfectly blends pop sensibilities with rock intensity. In the early sessions, Goldsmith's drumming didn't quite meet Grohl's expectations, leading to re-recordings, and Grohl himself taking on many of the drum parts.
