High-tech, techno ethnic music, "Esperanto" released in 1985, is being reissued on vinyl! His fifth solo album was released on October 5, 1985. This album is composed of songs that reflect the concept of "imaginary ethnic music" and was created at the request of avant-garde dancer Molissa Fenley. The artificial beauty of folk music, created using the Fairlight CMI to the fullest extent, is combined with Arto Lindsay's noisy guitar at key points to create a formless music that is exactly the high-tech, techno-like universal ethnic music that Ryuichi Sakamoto aimed for. This work has been reevaluated in recent years as electronic music and avant-garde music, and is an important work in his career that Ryuichi Sakamoto himself lists as one of his favorites. Includes the latest 2020 commentary by Eiichi Yoshimura and comments from Ryuichi Sakamoto. |
