Bach's keyboard art recreated on period instruments
A collection of concertos based on historical performance techniques by Pinnock and the English Concert.
The delicate tone of the harpsichord and the clear resonance of the chamber orchestra vividly portray the true essence of Baroque music. Pinnock's light touch clearly reveals the structure of the work, and the contrapuntal movements of each voice are clearly audible. This is an important recording that demonstrates the results of the early music revival movement.
