A nostalgic yet new definitive album by Terahara Jinta, whose Southern Kyushu style has been met with acclaim from all over the country!
Nanbu-shiki... A new folk song unit consisting of Terahara Jinta, a player of the folk instrument Gottan in southern Kyushu, and Takarotti, a creative Japanese drummer. With a medley of traditional folk songs, punk rock, and hip-hop, including the kagushi's speech, taunts, and storytelling, they have become explosively popular at the Hashinoshita World Music Festival as a brand new indigenous art form in southern Kyushu, and are active not only in the underground but also at local festivals, the National Theater, and large festivals all over the country. The track for "Kairai Bang Bang," a song by puppeteers who control giant puppets, was created by Nagoya's Marley Marl, also known as Il Mariachi and Obbligato, and the most crazy music master Hatazu, who has been fascinated by heads as a solitary originator for many years, and features shouts by TWIGY, a legendary rapper who continues to have a huge influence on the Japanese hip-hop scene. And a special edition that features an analog version of the much talked about album "Heads Up Zoku Oharabushi," a collaboration between owlbeats, the first Kagoshima Beat Grand Prix winner, and JP aka chillwired, a rapper also known as the jazzman!
