This is the best early work, featuring the single "The Reflex," which was a hit in both the US and the UK.

The third album, released in 1983, debuted at number one on the UK album chart. In the US, it peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200 on February 11, 1984, and continued to be in the top ten after the previous two albums.

The title of this album, "Seven," was chosen by Duran Duran and their two managers. "Ragged Tiger" was chosen in the hope that it would bring good luck. The sixth track, "Union of the Snake," was created based on the kick pattern of "David Bowie's Let's Dance."
